I went with a couple of guides on a survey, to try and find interesting places in the hills, with the purpose of pinpointing potential new tourism treks. This trip involved a 8 hour boat ride to Ban KongKham, and then the next day a 4 hour trek up a very steep hill. When we arrived in the village, some of the children, upon seeing me, burst out into tears and ran away. i was told I was the first 'falang' ever visiting this village. But after about 20 minutes, having introduced ourselves, people started to relax, and were comfortable being photographed. Just this little girl in the centre seemed to remain a bit suspicious of me.
