This is a detail of the interior of a field shelter, recently built. It shows the construction metheods used for these temporary shelters.
They would be built each year near the field that was going to be cleared to grow rice. During preparation and planting/ harvesting season, the workers would often stay here overnight, especially if the vilage itself was quite far away.
