Making paper from Bamboo fibre in the Lantien village of Ban Nam Leu - Luang Namtha province.

A paste is made of bamboo fibre soaked in water. the thin paste is spread out on screens and allowed to dry in the sun.

The paper is used in the Dao Ceremonies, illustrated in a different folder about "Lantien Ceremonies".

The paper is reputed to have served in the past to have been used to wrap opium for trading purposes.
