GTZ helped set up an ecotourism venture, 'the Akha Experience', now run by 'Exotissimo' travel group in Laos.

Over a period of three days, a group of 4-8 tourists with two local guides, will walk over the hills south of Muang Sing, and visit many different akha vilalges. Two villages have  a purpose built guesthouse, where the visitors sleep.
