Dorothy and I spent two weeks in Sri Lanka in December 2018. It was our first visit, and our main aim was to explore the food. But during the journey we came across various other interesting things to photograph, including a short phot safari, a first for me, which I undertook with a foolishly short lens, a 135 mm equivalent, where it would have been far more appropriate to use a 300 mm 0r 400 mm telephoto. But it was fun and remarkable successful. We'll be back! I will post this in instalments, in more roles chronological order, starting with a visit to the old centre of Colombo, the capital, with busy narrow streets and commerce.
