During my travels in the province, I came upon Ban Chaloensouk, a Khmu village that borders the highway between Namtha  and Huayxai.  At the side of the road, a little shop, where I waited for three hours for a Tuktuk to take me back to town. That's where I met Khamsouk, who became my 'English language student'  later in Vientiane (long story, later).

She took us back to her house, and introduced her family. Her grandmother looked like a very kind and wise old woman.
The village is Khmu.
